Celtic Cross

This design is expressive of humanity in harmony with both the horizontal plane of the material and the vertical plane of the spirit. The Azurite-Malachite center evokes the earth....thus the knotwork "wings" seem to reach out into the universe.
Apparently there are as many interpretations of meaning of Celtic Crosses as there are people. I tend to go with the theory of both Pagan and Christian influences, as explained by Stephen Walker.
